Is cash still widely used?
Yes. Vanuatu is primarily cash-based. Port Vila has some card acceptance at tourist resorts and larger businesses. On outer islands — Tanna (home of Yasur volcano), Espiritu Santo, and others — cash is the only payment option.

ATMs are available in Port Vila. ANZ Vanuatu and Bred Bank machines accept foreign cards.
