Yes. Suriname is predominantly cash-based. Markets, local transport, restaurants, and most businesses require Surinamese dollar cash. Paramaribo has some card acceptance at larger hotels and supermarkets.

ATMs are available in Paramaribo. Hakrinbank and DSB Bank machines accept foreign cards.
