Cash usage in St. Vincent and the Grenadines

St. Vincent and the Grenadines has basic card infrastructure. Cards work at some tourist businesses, but Eastern Caribbean dollar cash is essential for island hopping and local spending.

Is cash still widely used?

Yes. St. Vincent and the Grenadines is predominantly cash-based outside a few tourist businesses on Bequia and in Kingstown. The Grenadine islands (Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau, Union Island) have very limited or no ATM and card infrastructure.

ATMs are available in Kingstown and on Bequia. Bank of St. Vincent and the Grenadines machines accept some foreign cards.
