Is cash still widely used?
Rarely. Slovenia has excellent card infrastructure. Cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, shops, and even many market stalls. Ljubljana and tourist areas like Lake Bled and Piran are very card-friendly.
ATMs and withdrawing cash
ATMs are widely available. NLB and SKB Bank machines accept foreign cards reliably.

Card acceptance
Very good. Visa and Mastercard are accepted almost universally. Contactless is widely used. Slovenia has one of the highest card acceptance rates in the region.
