Is cash still widely used?
Moderately. Rwanda has improved its financial infrastructure significantly. Kigali has reasonable card acceptance at tourist hotels, restaurants, and larger shops. Mobile money (MTN Mobile Money) is widely used by locals. Outside Kigali, franc cash is essential.
