Is cash still widely used?
Yes. The Republic of Congo is predominantly cash-based. Local transport, markets, restaurants, and businesses across the country rely on CFA franc cash. Brazzaville has some card acceptance at upscale hotels.

ATMs are available in Brazzaville and Pointe-Noire. Ecobank and BGFI Bank machines accept some foreign cards.
