Yes. Nicaragua is predominantly cash-based. Local transport, markets, local restaurants, and most businesses outside Managua require córdoba cash. USD is also widely accepted in tourist areas.

ATMs are available in Managua, Granada, and León. BAC Nicaragua and Banpro machines accept foreign cards.
