Is cash still widely used?
Yes. Moldova is one of Europe’s most cash-dependent countries. Outside Chișinău, cash is the only practical payment method. Markets, guesthouses, local restaurants, and transport all require leu in cash.
ATMs and withdrawing cash
ATMs are available in Chișinău. Moldova Agroindbank and Victoriabank machines accept foreign cards.
