Is cash still widely used?
Yes. Despite mobile money (MTN Mobile Money) being widely used among Ghanaians, foreign visitors mostly rely on cash for daily transactions. Markets, local transport (tro-tros), street food, and businesses outside Accra’s upscale areas require cedi cash.
