Yes. Colombia remains predominantly cash-based for everyday transactions. Local transport (Transmilenio bus, taxis), street food, markets, smaller restaurants, and tips all require peso cash. Bogotá and Medellín have improving card infrastructure at tourist-facing businesses.
ATMs and withdrawing cash
ATMs are available in cities. Bancolombia and Davivienda machines are reliable for foreign cards.
